Homeresreview (6-22-04) Homeless Restaurant Review. They used to do this almost every Thursday. Calandro visited area parks and offered food from fine Atlanta restaurants to homeless people who would then give “dumpster” ratings. This week’s reviewer was “Hall” who was given some vegetarian cuisine from Café Sunflower. Hall rated it 9 dumpsters.

Both Toucher and Jimmy laugh at Wally’s descriptions of Pigeon Forge, but he is not exaggerating; everything he says is accurate.
Fatkidlotto (7-15-04) (13:22) Discussion about Wally’s produced introductions. Toucher recorded one called “Lotto Fat.” Discussion of lotto. Audio from FK’s visit to convenience store buying lotto tickets. He was there for 18 minutes in the half-hour before tickets were stopped being sold. He said he didn’t know how to fill out a lottery ticket and needed repeated explanations, annoying everyone in the store. Mention of Parade Kid at very end.

Audio from Parade Kid interrupting a Miles From Home concert. Parade Kid “loves being laughed at.” 99X is “official radio station of Parade Kid.” PK sings along to parade music. “Here I am, here I am, here I am am am; here I come, here I come, here I come; here comes the parade, here comes the parade, here comes the parade, here I am. . . .” Won’t stop singing. Phone calls—Parade Kid is not Fat Kid. Concerns regarding Parade Kid “selling out” with all of his sponsors. PK explains theory that Harry Potter is a “Christmas Elf” who is taking over for Santa Claus.
Fatkiddrunk1 (7-16-04) (6:39) (sporadic dropouts) “Drunk as Fat,” “the greatest show in the history of 99X” started with a simple premise. Leslie and Wally were on vacation, so Fat Kid sat in Wally’s chair. Toucher determined FK was funnier with alcohol. By this point FK has had four shots of Absolut vodka. They have a BAC (blood alcohol meter). He blows a .02. FK has to drink a shot every time someone says “Soriano.” Donshay is in the studio to assist. They take phone calls. Toucher explains that Donshay was supposed to meet girlfriend Nina at 5 that morning, but she refused to come out to the limo. Toucher asks for available women to call for a date with Donshay.
Fatkiddrunk2 ( 7-16-04) ( 14:02) Six shots of vodka at start of clip. Discussion about drinking at beginning, Donshay’s dilemma, female callers interested in meeting Donshay, a car is a requirement, Ellen calls—Donshay is interested, Ramona calls but doesn’t like how Donshay prefers a white girl with a car, FK drinks another shot, Erica calls next but lives too far away. Lizzie (originally from Trinidad) calls next, and is interested in meeting Donshay, FK discusses Trinidad. FK drinks more. Donshay speak: “Me-lady,” “Where you stay at?” “Trammitation.” FK: “I’m in Wally’s chair!” and writes studio signs with a Sharpy.
Fatkiddrunk3 (7-16-04) (14:01) Sports discussion with Crash and FK, FK does another shot—up to 9 by now, FK introduces and talks over and sings part of “Crash into Me” by Dave Matthews, Toucher back-announces Donshay’s situation, Toucher recounts Donshay: “Whooo, four girls, I’m so excited, I gotta doo-doo!” Donshay talks to Nina over the phone. Nina disagrees with Donshay’s calling for girls to come to station. Complimentary phone calls follow, FK takes shot 10, FK talks to Donshay, cautions him to be careful but nice to the girls. Donshay: “You to’ up, dog.” FK: “All I want is a grilled cheese sandwich.” Toucher: “This is a top-3 show.”
Fatkiddrunk4 ( 7-16-04) ( 21:23) FK opens with traffic, Donshay: “You to’ up from the flo’ up.” FK takes BAC reading, results .19, FK takes another shot, FK interviews a security expert for 7 minutes who wrote book on terrorism and homeland security. FK does a good interview, and actually halts so he can take a shot (at 13 now) when Toucher breaks in with “Soriano.” FK gets progressively drunker over the course of the interview. “And we’ll look for nuclear suitcases.” The guest has no idea he was interviewed by a drunk guy. Discussion follows. FK then explains Donshay’s situation, and Donshay enters with his burnt-orange Polo shirt. Toucher feels it’s the best show in radio history, and is a “gift from God.”
Fatkiddrunk5 (7-16-04) (5:15) (many dropouts) Chatter at beginning, then traffic with Crash. FK talks, phone calls praising show, FK tries to take shot but spills it, takes another and is now at 14. FK mentions he is singing with Five Star Iris, FK meets Jason from Upscale Limousine who is taking Donshay on his date, more phone calls, Toucher tells Donshay he will meet his potential dates after 311.
Fatkiddrunk6 (7-16-04) (7:39) Donshay meets Ellen and Izzy, the only two who showed up, and asks them three questions, FK takes shot 15, Donshay asks them if they have boyfriends and if they are looking for relationships, FK nearly pukes in trashcan. FK thinks Ellen is hot, and then reveals that he is not a big fan of the “colored women” to much laughter. FK tries to tell Donshay’s story again, Toucher tells him to stop, after which he tries again.
Fatkiddrunk7 (7-16-04) (8:45) Traffic with Crash, FK tries to recap but Toucher stops him, Toucher recaps Donshay’s story and tells about Ellen and Izzy, Toucher talks to Donshay to find out what he likes about the girls, Toucher asks Donshay to choose. After a long moment he chooses Ellen. Toucher, Jimmy, and FK discuss the girls. Toucher calls Donshay “Deshawn.”
Fatkiddrunk8 (7-16-04) (20:55) Crash does sports, Ellen talks about the Braves, Donshay reads some sports and stumbles over Soriano, Sebastian took FK out to puke. Crash: “I swear to God, if he throws up on me I’ll punch him in the head.” FK: “Oh my god, I’m so drunk.” FK takes shot 16. Donshay continues doing sports, Crash reveals he picked up syphilis in Orlando, FK tells story of what has been happening that morning and takes a BAC test again: .19. Jimmy says they have Donshay, a drunk FK, and it’s time for a trifecta: Parade Kid is now on the phone. Jimmy: “Radio does not get better than this,” and “I’ve died and gone to radio heaven.” FK and PK talk, Jimmy tells Donshay to join in. Toucher plays music bed while FK, PK, and Donshay sing along and improvise raps. FK: “Holy crap, it’s 9:27!” They finish, FK tries to give another recap and Toucher stops him. They discuss PK’s upcoming recording session, and the manufacture of elf ears. Toucher wants Donshay to give away Braves tickets. Donshay: “To who?” Jimmy: “To the callers, the listeners.” FK: “Make it caller 44, so Calandro has to count to 44.” FK: “Holy moley, I’m drunk.” Toucher sends Donshay on his date to Shoneys, FK requests French toast and bacon.
Fatkiddrunk9 (7-16-04) (15:54) Opens with audio of FK puking in restroom, Toucher reads emails praising show, FK says Izzy was hot even though he wasn’t a “fan of colored people.” Some talk, Toucher introduces Five Star Iris, they first play A Day in the Sun, FK sings Tom Petty’s American Girl with Five Star Iris, discussion follows.
Fatkiddrunk10 (7-16-04) (20:25) Opens with Calandro saying FK is puking in Calandro’s office, Toucher talks to head chef at Cherry restaurant, more emails from listeners, Toucher recaps what’s been happening, Donshay and Ellen are in limo at Shoneys and Toucher talks to Sebastian over the phone, Toucher talks to Donshay, they ask Donshay about rango pill, they talk to Ellen next, they talk to Sebastian more. Great Moments in Broadcast History is next, they play FK’s famous quote about colored women. FK: “My dad is in Jamaica, so he’s with a bunch of colored people!” Although Toucher said the show would be played in its entirety in two weeks, they played a severely edited version of it. Discussion follows. Jimmy plugs Jaffee’s bachelor party. Toucher teases upcoming bit “Snake Bite Roulette” at the end, but I recall that they never actually did this stunt. They also say goodbye to Angry Dan, as this was his last day. Jimmy discusses a Tivo gift. The show thanks everyone for listening.

The perplexed author on the phone doesn’t know what’s going on: “I don’t have a clue what you’re saying.” A Spanish-speaking Joey (Wally) calls.

Posing as “Rocky Rock” from “J-32” in Memphis, Jimmy asks a group of teenage Diana Degarmo fans questions, and the winner will get to go backstage to meet Diana Degarmo. Questions are easy until the fifth question: “Who won this year’s American Idol?” The answer: Billy Jaffee. Jimmy: “Billy IS the American Idol.” Not sure what was funnier: the screaming girls, or Jimmy’s over-the-top DJ persona.
