Have you ever worked or still worked in radio broadcasting?
If so, I want to talk to you!
I am currently researching for my book, We're Off the Air! This book will feature the crazy, funny, stupid, and outrageous tales that have happened in the world of radio for the past fifty years. Stories can range from the simple to the extravagant:
• The jock who spent weeks living on a billboard until the local baseball team finally won.
• The jock who stayed awake for days for a promotion, and wound up being changed forever.
• The intern who was duct-taped to a telephone pole as part of a morning show stunt that resulted in a flood of calls to 911.
• The huge money giveaway that went terribly wrong when a jock secretly fixed the contest so a friend would win.
It doesn’t matter what departments you’ve worked in, or what your job is or was. If you know a funny story, please send it to me!
When necessary or when requested, names and call letters will be changed to protect the innocent, unless the station is gone, or the information is public knowledge. All contributors will receive credit, unless they wish to remain anonymous.
After the book is published, ten randomly selected contributors will receive a copy of the book.
Help to make this a great book. Please send your stories to stories@allensedge.com.
